History
Donald Fox, with his partner Leon Kramer, started what would later become Mr. Fox Tire Co., as Kramer & Fox in 1955. They would spend hours picking up scrap tires and sorting through the good ones to provide them with their inventory. In the infancy of the business they would mount these tires by hand without the benefit of a machine until they had enough money to buy the proper equipment.
Don later took sole control of the business and also began to focus on automotive services as well. His goal was to provide the customer with quality products and service at an affordable price. Don would often work 70+ hour weeks and would never let a customer walk even if it meant not turning a profit or even losing money. His generosity was one of his greatest attributes.
Today that family owned environment is still intact with sons Eric, Jordan and their brother in law Shelly Yellen, taking the reigns of the business. Our employees have always been made to feel like family, and as a result, many have been with us for over 20 years. Our success has been made possible by our wonderful customers and by valuing the unique contributions and hard work of our employees.
